Mr. Derek li

Derek Li is a Registered Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist with extensive training in psychology, social work, and child development. He is dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, and families through evidence-based and child-centred approaches, helping them build emotional resilience, social competence, and positive relationships.

Derek holds a Master of Social Science in Social Work from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, a Master of Applied Psychology from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego.

He is a Certified PEERS® Provider and a Certified CBT-CSCA for Autism Spectrum Disorder Provider, equipping him with specialized expertise in supporting children and adolescents with social communication difficulties, autism spectrum disorder, emotional challenges, and interpersonal relationship concerns.

Derek adopts a strengths-based and collaborative approach in his work, integrating play therapy, social skills training, cognitive-behavioural strategies, and family support to help children develop confidence, emotional regulation skills, and meaningful connections with others.
