Individualized Training

At Little Sparks Development Centre, we recognize that every child learns in a unique way. To support their growth, we offer one-on-one Individualized Education Plan (IEP) training programs. Each IEP is designed by an Educational Psychologist (EP) and carried out by a Special Education Teacher, ensuring that the program is both evidence-based and tailored to meet your child’s unique needs.
IEP at the Core
The IEP serves as a personalized roadmap for your child. Based on assessment results, the EP sets clear and achievable goals. For instance, a goal may be to extend a child’s attention span from 10 minutes to 20 minutes. This step-by-step approach provides measurable progress that builds motivation and confidence for both the child and their family.
Our Approach
Multisensory Teaching
-
Integrating visual, auditory, and tactile stimulation allows children to learn more effectively.
-
For example, combining images, sounds, and written text when learning words helps children retain them more quickly.
Learning Through Play
-
Play is the most natural and effective way for children to learn.
-
For example, board games can be used to train turn-taking and cooperation, while role-playing activities can enhance social communication and emotional expression.
Picture Book Learning
-
Using a "dialogic reading" strategy, we go beyond listening to stories and instead encourage children to express their ideas through interactive questions and discussions.
-
This approach not only improves vocabulary and comprehension, but also helps children develop problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
