Joanna obtained her Master of Social Sciences in Educational Psychology from the University of Hong Kong in 2016, and has since accumulated extensive experience working with students across various education levels and backgrounds, from primary school children to university adolescents. Her expertise allows her to devise holistic and developmentally appropriate support strategies to address the varying cognitive, emotional, and social needs of students. Her exposure to students from diverse backgrounds also enables her to appreciate and respect different perspectives in her practice.As an educational psychologist, Joanna provides a wide range of critical and developmental services, including comprehensive psycho-educational assessments in areas such as cognitive functioning, learning difficulties, social-communication, adaptive behavior, attention challenges, and executive functioning. She works with students facing learning, behavioral, or social challenges such as SpLD, ASD, and AD/HD. She collaborates closely with parents, teachers, and school faculty to develop tailored support plans, provide consultations, address urgent concerns, and advise on long-term school policy for sustainable support.In addition to her work in local schools, Joanna also provides educational psychology services to international schools in China, offering assessments, consultations, and training tailored to culturally diverse learning communities.Dedicated to fostering inclusive environments, she also leads group trainings and workshops for school staff and peers to raise awareness and promote understanding.Joanna believes in the unique strengths of each individual and is committed to creating a safe, open, and supportive environment for growth. Her passion is further reflected in her completion of the Foundation Course for Teaching Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), certified by the Oxford Mindfulness Centre, which she integrates into her practice to deepen self-awareness and resilience.
